ACWA Power to build the largest WPP in Central Asia
A key player in the electricity distribution and supply market of Romania, Electrica, plans the implementation of 400 MW renewable energy projects, with an additional 100 MW storage capacity. For that aim, the company which is partly owned by the State will establish a joint-stock company Electrica Productie Energie.
The subsidiary will deal with the acquisition and development of projects, the operation of energy generation farms, combined with the development and operation of independent storage solutions.
The project became a part of Electrica’s development and investment strategy for 2019-2023. Last September, another subsidiary – Electrica Furnizare, acquired the 7.5 MW (6.8 MW operating capacity) Stanesti photovoltaic plant.
The Electrica Group is the only Romanian group listed on the BSE & LSE and operates within distribution, supply & energy service segments serving over 3.8 million customers in the entire country.
